Horsemen’s groups across the country are stepping up to the plate to support the 2009 edition of the Trot Canada National Handicapping Championship

The National Capital Region Harness Horsemen’s Association will sponsor the Welcome Brunch for the championship players and their guests at the Ottawa Marriott on Sunday, November 8.

In Ontario, the Ontario Harness Horse Association sponsored three spots in the championship and partnered with Grand River Raceway to host those qualifying events.

Out in BC, Harness Racing BC sponsored a TCNHC qualifier that took place at Fraser Downs this past Saturday to send one lucky player to Ottawa to compete for the $25,000 grand prize.

The Trot Canada National Handicapping Championship will take place at Rideau Carleton Raceway on Sunday, November 8 and will feature 40 players from across Canada.

This marks the third year for the TCNHC and the first time it’s been hosted in the nation’s capital.
