Mario Ruffolo Jr. Passes
Multiple news outlets have reported that former Standardbred horseman and Woodbine Mohawk Park security guard Mario Ruffolo passed away during the evening of Wednesday, January 15 and that charges have been laid in regard to the incident.
According to the reports, Ruffolo, 63, was working a shift as a security guard in Guelph, Ont. when the incident occurred at roughly 8:45 p.m. The reports state that Ruffolo was at the VIA rail station on Carden Street when a fight was reported to Guelph police.
Police responded and found Ruffolo suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was taken to Guelph General Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
A 21-year-old Guelph man by the name of Jordan Langelier was arrested at the scene and has been charged with second-degree murder.

Mario Ruffalo jr. or “Bobe” to his friends, was one of the good guys. I had the absolute pleasure to work alongside Bobe and his father Mario sr. , and I can honestly say they were some of my very best memories. My heart breaks for Mario sr., Kathy , Joe , Gina and the rest of the Ruffolo family.
