Racing To Help Others In Need
For the third straight year driver Louis-Philippe Roy helped spread some holiday cheer to those less fortunate by donating his driving earnings from the Thursday evening program at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
Roy, a native of Quebec, pledged his Thursday earnings to Moisson Mitis – a food bank in his hometown of Mont-Joli.
Roy enjoyed a pair of victories on the 10-race card, scoring with BR Royal Boom and Bettor B Going. A handful of other racing participants joined in, as well, to help the cause.
Adriano Sorella, Clay Horner, William Donovan and Chris Baise generously made donations. and in doing so more than $4,000 was raised to help Moisson Mitis and the people that walk through its doors.
If you’d like to make a donation, you can do so by visiting Moisson Mitis’ Facebook page.
