Reibeling Injured In Off-Track Accident
Horseman Braiden Reibeling was injured in an automotive accident on Friday (Nov. 22).
The son of trainer Kyle Reibeling, Braiden has followed in his father's footsteps and the 18-year-old recently obtained his trainer's license. He made his first start as a trainer with Dont Dilly Dally, a three-year-old pacing gelding he co-owns with his father, earlier this month.
A GoFundMe page has been established by Jean MacDonell to help support the family.
"The road to recovery will be long, painful and difficult for him. He is a hard working, respectful, kind young man," wrote MacDonell. "He is a true horsemen in every sense of the word. He spends his days at the barn working along side his father Kyle, and nights at the various race tracks racing for his family and warming up for many trainers as well. In fact he more than likely has warmed one up for you.
"Please help support him in any way that you can. He will need it because it will be quite a while before this hard working kid is able to get back to doing what he loves."
Please join Standardbred Canada in wishing Braiden Reibeling a full receovery from his injuries.
