No Crying For Its My Party
John Stark Jr.’s Its My Party, by Chapter Seven, was a decisive winner in one of the co-featured races for New York-sired trotters on Wednesday (Nov. 13) at Saratoga Casino Hotel.
Its My Party most recently competed in the Jim Derue Memorial Trotting Series, where she recorded a win in the second division before making a break in the final.
In Wednesday’s $10,000 co-feature, the three-year-old filly had little difficulty cruising to an open-length win with her driver-trainer Stark at the controls.

Its My Party was the public’s 6-5 favourite on Wednesday and never faced an anxious moment after retaking the lead approaching the opening quarter. Its My Party stopped the timer in 1:58.3 to notch her third win since coming to town from Northfield Park in September.
The final clocking was an impressive one on the cold afternoon in Saratoga that saw the other co-feature clocked in 2:01.
Leap Year Lucky (Jimmy Devaux) parlayed a pocket ride to his second consecutive win for trainer Lisa Zabielski in the co-feature. He tracked down the race’s favourite in the final strides to record his second victory in three tries since joining the class (for winners of two, but not more than five races lifetime).
Live racing at ‘the Spa’ will continue on Thursday afternoon (Nov. 14) with a 12 noon first post.
