LMC Mass Gem Repeats In Preferred
Even-money favourite LMC Mass Gem seized control moving to the half and faced little pressure when winning the $8,600 Preferred Handicap Trot at Rideau Carleton Raceway on Sunday, Nov. 3.
Revenue Agent took control moving to a :27.4 first quarter but yielded command to LMC Mass Gem past the stands first time. The five-year-old Muscle Mass gelding then took the field by the half in :58 and three-quarters in 1:27.1 before strolling to a 1:57.2 victory. Y S Suzanne rallied for second while Revenue Agent gave chase in third.
Owned by driver Jacques Beaudoin, Maurice Houle, Ronald Charette and Andre Beaudoin, LMC Mass Gem won his fifth race from 35 starts this season and his 19th in 96 overall, earning $346,070. Johanne Begin trains the $4.00 winner.
