Hoerdt Hot At Fraser Friday
Continuing to accumulate career-best numbers, Kelly Hoerdt held the hot hands on Friday night (November 1) at Fraser Downs.
Hoerdt's horses captured three races on the 12-dash offering, including the $12,000 Fillies & Mares Open Pace with Blue Grotto in 1:53.3. The daughter of Art Major - Capri Hanover just missed equalling her lifetime best of 1:53.2 on Friday night, picking up her fifth win of the season in the process.
Hoerdt picked up wins with Go Nine O and Night Stick for the training hat-trick, adding a catch-driving win to start the card with Bulletsaflyin for the driving grand slam.
Boasting averages of 0.423 as both a driver and trainer, Hoerdt is on pace for personal bests in all statistical categories. The Alberta mainstay has already smashed his previous bests on the driving side with 190 wins from 712 starts and more than $1.27 million in earnings. His stable has sent out 120 winners in 2019 -- more than his previous best of 117 in 2017 -- with earnings of $1.02 million, on pace to surpass his 2007 total of $1.138 million.
