Recognizing Breeders Crown Caretakers
It takes a team of people to care for and race a Breeders Crown Champion and one of the most important members of that team is the caretaker.
Standardbred Canada was proud to support this year’s Breeders Crown at Woodbine Mohawk Park on October 25 & 26, and as part of that sponsorship awarded each Breeders Crown-winning caretaker with a custom-framed photo of the horse’s victory and winner’s circle presentation. The photos were presented on those respective evenings by Standardbred Canada’s Chair, Mark Horner, and Dan Gall, President and CEO.
SC would like to congratulate all the caretakers of Breeders Crown horses for the two nights.
Below are some of the presentation shots, also available in the SC Photo Galleries.
Congratulations to the team
Congratulations to the team of SC for recognizing that the caretaker is the back bone behind the horse.Taken care of a race horse is a big job, making sure that their feet are well looked ,their eating well, their enjoying their work, and that after a training or racing session, their cooled out properly and then released in their stall or paddock. Cooling out a horse after a training or racing session is a big responsibility.
