Thursday Triple For Darveau At Flamboro
Isabelle Darveau garnered first star of the night honours on Thursday (Oct. 24) at Flamboro Downs, sending out three winners from her stable.
The training triple started with sophomore pacing gelding Conboyville, who has turned some heads with his turnaround in form from two to three. After a lackluster one-for-seven rookie season in 2018, the son of Dali - Satans Daughter sports a 4-1-0 record in five seasonal starts. The fourth win of the campaign was an off-the-pace score in a lifetime best-equalling 1:56.3 for driver Robert Shepherd and breeder-owners Duncan & Shirley Buist of Caledonia, Ont.
After winning the seventh race with their 10-year-old iron horse Lodi Dorian Blues, Shepherd & Darveau clicked for the hat trick in the tenth race as Time To Dance was a wire-to-wire winner in 1:55.3 for 1187422 Ontario Inc. of Ottawa, Ont.
Darveau looks to be well on her way to posting career-best win totals in 2019. Coming off an 80-win season in 2018, Darveau boasts 75 winners this season with her stable earning more than $463,242 in purses.
