Charity Challenge In Homestretch
The Ontario Standardbred Adoption Society would like to sincerely thank everyone who has supported it throughout the Breeders Crown Charity Challenge, which began in June and will conclude in a few days to coincide with the Breeders Crown finals at Woodbine Mohawk Park this weekend.
There are four charities vying for the top prize. Each has been teamed with a celebrity along with a racehorse. OSAS, which is the only equine charity in the mix, is honoured to have been chosen by former major league pitcher Dan Plesac and teamed with the very talented three-year-old pacing colt Captain Crunch.
“(OSAS) was an easy choice for me,” Plesac recently said. “Having owned many hoses that have raced on the Ontario circuit, these beautiful animals give it their all and they deserve a good home when their racing and training days are over.”
Winning this challenge would be a huge accomplishment for OSAS and assist greatly in the care and placement of our horses. OSAS supporters have been voting on a regular basis and we appreciate any and all votes. We’re in the homestretch and can see the finish line in this challenge and encourage everyone to vote here.
