Nerida Franco Nabs Harrington Open

Frank Chick and David Hamm's Nerida Franco N won in 1:53 in the $20,000 Mares Open on Tuesday, Oct. 15 at Harrington Raceway.

Firing from the pylon post, Nerida Franco N set the pace with fractions of :27 and :55.4. Artrageous mounted a first-over attack with Jamies Renegade perched second over to three-quarters in 1:24.1. The outer tier stalled as Empress Deo sat the pocket throughout, but was outkicked for second by Cruzinforavictory and settled for third

Trained by Kevin Lare, Nerida Franco N registered her 25th win. The nine-year-old Lis Mara mare has banked more than $310,000. Mike Cole drove the $23.60 winner.

Harrington's leading driver Art Stafford Jr. had four wins on the program. Tony Morgan and Jon Roberts each had a double.
