Harness Racing BC has announced that it will be hosting a Trot Canada National Handicapping Championship qualifier at Fraser Downs on Saturday, October 24

.

The winner of the qualifier will receive round-trip airfare to Ottawa, Ont., two nights of accommodations in the beautiful Ottawa Marriott, world class dining and entry into the TCNHC and a 1 in 40 shot at the $25,000 grand prize.

British Columbia has had good luck in the TCNHC. Leni Caldwell, the 2008 second-place finisher, is a BC native that wowed the crowds with her handicapping skills last year.

Contestants will select one horse from Fraser’s Races 3 through 11, placing a mythical $2 Win, Place bet on each selection. The player with the highest bankroll will be crowned the winner and will get the chance to represent British Columbia at the championship finals.
