Haveoneforme Exits A Winner
In her final start before heading to the breeding shed Haveoneforme travelled a perfect trip by driver Dexter Dunn to take the $225,000 Ontario Sires Stakes (OSS) Super Final for three-year-old trotting fillies on Saturday, Oct. 12 at Woodbine Mohawk Park.

Angies Luckeylady left for the lead while Blue Magic, from post 10, launched towards the front and secured the pocket heading to the first turn. Bright Eyes M—sent the 6-5 favourite—sat wide of Haveoneforme from fourth past a :27 first quarter and inched towards the leader nearing a :56.3 half.
Bright Eyes M stalled moving to the final turn while Dunn angled Haveoneforme from the pegs to race second over approaching three-quarters. Angies Luckeylady passed three-quarters in 1:27.1 but faced late pressure from Haveoneforme spinning three wide for the stretch drive. The Richard “Nifty” Norman trainee slid to the lead entering the final eighth and held off a late charge from Hp Titania Runner to win in 1:55.4. Angies Luckeylady faded to third.
“It’s never easy to have to take three wide around that last turn,” Dunn said after the race. “Scotty [Petherick], who’s been looking after her in ‘Nifty’s credit, she was really on top of her game today; she felt awesome. I gave her a little burst in the post parade and she really got up on the bit and was ready to roll. She showed a lot of good speed there on the top of the turn.”

Unraced as a two-year-old, Haveoneforme—a filly by Kadabra—caps her career with seven victories from 16 starts and $361,784 earned for owners Enzed Racing Stable Inc., Melvin Hartman and Little E LLC. The $13.50 winner gave trainer Richard “Nifty” Norman back-to-back victories in the Three-Year-Old Filly Trot—winning in this division last year with Smoke And Mirrors.
“It was a surprise last year and it was a surprise this year,” Norman said after the race. “Both of [these wins] feel pretty good.”
