Crown Prep For Only Take Cash
Trainer Bob McIntosh is the second winningest trainer in the history of the Breeders Crown, and it looks like has a legitimate contender who could help him bolster his already impressive resume in the year-end event.
Only Take Cash is that contender, and she easily disposed of the six foes she faced in a $20,000 event for three-year-old filly trotters during Friday’s 11-race card at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
Trevor Henry hustled the photogenic daughter of Cash Hall-Armbro Affair to the lead from Post 3, and after whacking out fractions of :28.1, :58.3 and 1:28 she stormed home in :27.1 to win by a length over Cambridge Kate in 1:55.1. Lefkada was third.
Sent off as the 1-5 favourite, Only Take Cash improved her 2019 record to 7-2-1 from 10 attempts with the victory. Robert McIntosh Stables Inc, Dave Boyle and Mardon Stables share ownership on the sophomore who is 15-for-19 in her career. The $10,000 payday bumped her overall cash stash to $688,311.
