Warrawee Ubeaut Headlines Jugette
Warrawee Ubeaut, a winner of $1,101,465, headlines a field of 13 pacing fillies that has been entered to contest the $259,600 Jugette, which will take place on Wednesday (Sept. 18) at the Delaware County Fair in Ohio.
The fillies will contest a pair of $51,920 eliminations. The top four finishers from each elim will return later in the day to contest the $155,760 final.
Warrawee Ubeaut is heading into the Jugette on a three-race win streak, which includes a victory in her $253,000 Pennsylvania Sire Stakes Championship. The daughter of Sweet Lou has drawn Post 1 in the second elimination and will host Yannick Gingras in the sulky.
Warrawee Ubeaut is trained by Ron Burke and is owned by the Burke Racing Stable, Phillip Collura, J&T Silva-Purnel-Libby and Weaver Bruscemi.
The first $51,920 elimination will feature Treacherous Reign, the winner of the $340,500 Fan Hanover Stakes.
The Tony Alagna-trained Captaintreacherous filly has earned $644,851 for her owners, Alagna Racing, Big Al’s Stable, Let It Ride Stable and Dana Parham.
Dexter Dunn will drive Treacherous Reign. The duo will start from Post 4 in the second elim.
Post time for the Wednesday card at the Delaware County Fair will be 11:00 a.m. The simulcast show will get underway at 10:30 a.m.
