HHYF Participate In ‘Fayette Fest’
The Harness Horse Youth Foundation and stable member Royal Attire will be participating in several ways at Fayette Fest at the Red Mile (Lexington, KY) on Sunday, September 15. The event will be held in conjunction with the Kentucky Sire Stakes finals.
“Royal Attire and HHYF graduate AJ Wright, from Montpelier, IN will be in the ‘parade of breeds’ and we will have an adjacent booth full of activities for all ages. If technology works, we will be debuting the virtual 3D race with goggles; many thanks to Harrah’s Hoosier Park for partnering with us in this pilot project. In addition, we’ll have a spin the wheel game with T-shirts and other prizes plus a table full of related harness racing information so fans in the area should plan to stop by,” explained Ellen Taylor, HHYF executive director. “Of course, Royal Attire will be ready for lots of attention, too!”
In addition to the horse components during the day, there will be live entertainment, beer gardens, Kentucky Proud Market and many family-friendly areas. Hours for the festival are from noon to 6 p.m.
