Meadows ‘First Responder Night’ Friday
The Meadows Standardbred Owners Association has released the details of the upcoming ‘First Responder Night,’ which is set to take place Friday (Aug. 23) at the Meadows.
First Responder Night, presented by the Meadows Standardbred Owners Association and The Meadows Racetrack & Casino will honor the region’s first responders and provide a fun evening at the races for them and their families.
All first responders in uniform or with appropriate ID will receive betting vouchers and free programs when they visit the MSOA table in the racebook. In addition, Friday’s live card, which will begin with a special post time of 5:30 p.m., will include a first responder match race, with participants drawn by lot.
The evening will also feature ‘Family Fun Night’ activities that include a bounce house, a balloon artist and a face painter.
The card will be highlighted by a pair of stakes for three-year-old colt and gelding pacers — a $165,000 (est.) Pennsylvania Sire Stakes race and a $60,000 (est.) PA Stallion Series dash.
