Allain Joining Mohawk Race Office
Dylan Allain, who is currently the paddock judge at Red Shores’ Charlottetown Driving Park, has accepted an assistant race secretary position with Woodbine Entertainment.
News of Allain’s move west has come courtesy of an article by The Guardian, which explains that the 32-year-old will be working in the race office at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
“I have always been a numbers guy,” Allain has been quoted as saying. “Even when I was young, the race program was the most fascinating thing about horse racing. Some people really liked the horses, but I was scared of them when I was a kid, so I really got into the numbers. Learning to be a charter and then a judge and now stepping into a race secretary position I think will be a really good fit.”
Although the move away from his home province will be bittersweet, Allain is looking forward to the challenge and opportunity in the Mohawk race office.
“It was always a dream of mine to work full time in horse racing,” Allain said. “Woodbine Entertainment is the big times, so it was a no-brainer for me.”
