Grand River Raceway will host the OHHA Handicapping Contest on Thursday, October 15 and 22, presented by the Ontario Harness Horse Association

The contest will award $800 in prize money and three spots in the $25,000 (estimated) Trot National Handicapping Championship (TCNHC) in Ottawa on November 8.

The winner of each contest on October 15 and 22 will automatically advance to the TCNHC. In addition, all entries from both nights will be combined and one player will be randomly drawn to fill OHHA’s third spot at the TCNHC.

The free contest will challenge players to handicap Grand River Races 2 through 7. The player with the highest hypothetical bankroll will be declared the winner.

The three OHHA Handicapping Contest winners will join Grand River’s representatives — Gary Montgomery, Pat Salter and Mike Hanhan — in an all-expenses paid trip to Ottawa November 7 – 9 for the showdown.
