St. Louis Wins Five At Dresden
Kids' Day was a huge hit at Dresden Raceway on Sunday (July 21), as over 250 children enjoyed a day at the track that included free hot dogs, face painting, a bouncy castle, free t-shirts, and giveaways — including 18 bicycles.
Children who attended the track also got to get up close and personal with some miniature horses that put on an exhibition race between the second and third dash. The trio of tiny equines were a huge hit, as Elmo, Charlie and DJ were brought to the grandstand by their owners Chase Graham, Alyssa Kerr and Wyatt Kerr.
On the track, Marc St. Louis Jr. carried the hot hands with five winners on the day, including Ballparkfrank, Big Is Better, Major Artattack, Crankys Boy and Grits N Gravy. St. Louis now has 17 wins on the year and sits five behind Tyler Borth in the race for the dash title, as Borth has 22 after winning with Stonebridge Score.
National Caretaker Appreciation Day was celebrated at Dresden Raceway, as each caretaker received a package from Dresden Raceway while three lucky grooms won prizes from Ontario Racing. April Davis was the big winner among the grooms, taking home a $250 MasterCard gift card.
The handle at Dresden Raceway was $30,110.
