The winning streak is now four-in-a-row and climbing for Rose Run Quest, who established a new track record Saturday evening at Truro Raceway thanks to his 1:52.1 performance in the $7,500 Lindsay Construction Cup Invitational.

Rose Run Quest set fractions of :26.4, :55.1 and 1:23.3 for driver Marc Campbell before kicking home in :28.3 to win by 1-1/4 lengths over Do Over Hanover. Half Cut came on late to nab the show dough.

The 1:52.1 performance erased Formal Affair’s former track record of 1:53.2 for older pacing geldings.

Campbell trains the seven-year-old son of If I Can Dream-Letmedowneasy, who was sent off as the 1-5 favourite, for owner Blair Hansen of Charlottetown, PE. It was the seventh win of the season for the 38-time winner. He’s banked over $380,000 to date.

A set of $10,020 Atlantic Sires Stakes ‘A’ divisions also went postward for three-year-old pacing colts and geldings, with the first split taken by Red Dirt Rocknroll in 1:57.1.

David Dowling motored to the lead with the Lennie Myers trainee, and after whacking out fractions of :28.1, :59.1 and 1:28.3 he slipped home in :28.3 to win by 3-1/2 lengths over Mrs Browns Boy. Dusty Lane Cortez was third.

Jack Quinn and Lenny Myers share ownership on the son of Articulator-Oduya who owns a 4-1-1 record from six tries this season. The six-time winner lifted his earnings to $37,488 with the win.

Red Dirt Boomer took the other $10,020 division in 1:55.4, but the photo finish camera was called on before he could make the trip back to victory lane.

Darren Crowe rolled the Gilles Barrieau trainee to the lead from the rail and together they hustled the group through fractions of :27.2 and :56.4. Purple Poet rallied first-over in the backstretch, and he grabbed the lead while racing parked past the three-quarter pole in 1:27. He couldn’t hold the lead, however, as Red Dirt Boomer found a second wind and used a :28.3 closing quarter to prevail by a nose over Purple Poet. Third prize went to race favourite Notorious.

The son of Malicious-Independent Gal improved his 2019 record to 2-2-2 from seven tries for owner Daniel Ross of Belfast, PE. The nine-time winner has banked just shy of $67,000 to date.

J Ks Boy took the lone $2,500 ‘B’ division for three-year-old pacing colts and geldings in a time of 1:58.4 for driver David Dowling and trainer Leith Waite. Feelin Haggard was next best, with third prize earned by Silverhilllightnin.

Leith, Leslie and Spencer Waite share ownership on the son of Westwardho Hanover-JK Casablanca. It was the fourth lifetime tally for the career winner of $14,343.

Kant Katch Kaiden captured the $4,600 Wilsons Heating Fillies & Mares Series Final in 1:57.3 for driver Dale Spence and trainer MacKenzie MacInnis. She defeated Dancers Pass and Camco Willow.

Kingsley Walsh and Frank Balcom share ownership on the five-time winner who is closing in on $10,000 in career earnings.

The second leg of the Atlantic Aged Pacing Mares Series featured a pair of $3,670 divisions, and they were captured by Rocknrols Image in 1:55.1 and Sodwana Bay in 1:55.3.
