The Ontario Harness Horse Association today issued a release on insurance requirements to race at Woodbine Entertainment Group's racetracks

We have received several complaints from OHHA members who have been instructed by WEG security that an insurance policy to be purchased at the track (WEG) or a COSA membership is required to participate at WEG tracks. This is not true as your OHHA membership offers the required insurance coverage. We are addressing this “miscommunication” and suggest all members keep their OHHA card with them as proof of membership.

The Ontario Harness Horse Association (OHHA) would like to reassure it’s members that the OHHA third party liability insurance remains valid for all members of the Association. This policy covers all OHHA members at any licensed racetrack in Ontario. There is no requirement to have other additional insurance at any Ontario racetrack. All other policies and programs administered by OHHA, including insurance and benefits remain in full effect.

There is no requirement to join COSA or any other association to race at any Ontario racetrack.

If you have misplaced your OHHA card please contact the office at the number(s) or email below and a new card will be sent to you. Please share this information with your fellow OHHA members and rest assured that OHHA continues to represent the interests of ALL Standardbred Horsepeople in Ontario.
