After shipping away from New Brunswick and finishing off the board in his last outing, HP Bushido Dragjet showed an affinity for home cooking and creature comforts with a solid effort in Saturday's feature at Exhibition Park Raceway.

With John Davidson aboard for the $1,500 Winners Over feature, HP Bushido Dragjet played catch-me-if-you-can with his four rivals. Spolier: they could not, and they did not. After fractions of :30, :59.3 and 1:30, HP Bushido Dragjet sprinted home in :29.3 to trip the timer in a seasonal best 1:59.3. Chasen Cancun (Todd Trites) chased the leader from the pocket but finished two-plus lengths in arrears with favoured Bugger Max (Mark Haig) completing the triactor.

Wayne Watson trains HP Bushido Dragjet (Jeremes Jet - Dragonosa) for owner Keith Camick of Willow Grove, N.B. The pacer picked up his 13th lifetime victory to lift his earnings to $47,599 lifetime.
