Yonkers Raceway is instituting a purse increase specifically for the claiming colony out there.

Beginning with the race week of Monday, May 20, the new purse structure reads as such:

BASE PRICE
PURSES (CURRENT/NEW)

• $12,500 claimers, pacers and trotters (or non-winners of $5,000 last five starts)
  was $10,000, now $12,500

• $15,000 claimers

  was $13,000, now $14,500

• $20,000 claimers

  was $16,500, now $17,500

• $25,000 claimers

  was $17,500, now $19,500

• $30,000 claimers

  was $20,000, now $22,000

• $40,000 claimers

  was $22,000, now $25,000

• $50,000 claimers

  was $26,000, now $28,000
