‘Cradle Of The Trotter’ Presentation Nears
The Harness Racing Museum & Hall of Fame will present ‘The Cradle of the Trotter,’ a one-hour staged reading accompanied by numerous photographs and images on Saturday (Feb. 16) at 1 p.m.
The live performance tells the story of early harness racing, the influence the sport has had on Goshen, N.Y., and the reason generations of ‘Goshenites’ hold the sport so dear. The program is for those who may be new to the area as well as those who have called Goshen home for years.
Designed for the entire family, the presentation will share historical facts, folklore, legend and tales of the people, places and horses that made Goshen’s trotting traditions known worldwide. Come see images of Goshen Historic Track and Good Time Park when they were the places to be on race days in Goshen and learn about the influential men and famous horses that made Goshen the Cradle of the Trotter.
The performers are Ben Hudson, Emma Jorgensen and Ken Tschan.
Tickets are $5 and light refreshments will be served. Located at 240 Main St., Goshen, N.Y., the Harness Racing Museum & Hall of Fame is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. For more information visit harnessmuseum.com.
