London Preferred To Bourbon Seelster
Starting from post seven, odds-on favourite Bourbon Seelster wired her competition to take the $8,500 Fillies and Mares Preferred 3 Pace at The Raceway at Western Fair District on Tuesday, December 11.
Driver Scott Coulter secured a three-length lead when launching Bourbon Seelster to the front through a :27.2 opening quarter. With Miss Brandi K drafting from the pocket, Bourbon Seelster paced unchallenged to the half in :57.4 and to three-quarters in 1:27.1.
Insincerity, challenging first over into the final turn, quickly faltered as Bourbon Seelster opened her lead through the stretch to win by two-and-a-quarter lengths at the wire. Miss Brandi K took second from Solid Queen, stalking the top two, in third.
A five-year-old mare by Camluck, Bourbon Seelster won her seventh race in 25 starts this season and her 19th in 60 overall, earning $209,050. Robert Manders conditions the $2.70 winner for owners W. Scott Manders and Keith Manders.
