Ontario Sires Stakes graduate Daylon Magician etched himself into the provincial history books Tuesday, Nov. 27 at The Raceway at Western Fair District.

The 10-year-old son of Kadabra-Daylon Marvel, with Bruce Richardson in the bike, captured the $11,500 Preferred 2 event which catapulted him over the $2 million mark in career earnings. In the same race, his four-year-old son Scene A Magician was just nipped at the wire for second in the 1:59.2 mile.

Owned, trained and bred by Dave Lemon, the 33-time winner made just his second start of the season after standing stud the past two seasons.

Daylon Magician was voted as Canada’s Three-Year-Old Trotting Colt of the Year in 2011 following victories in the $1-million Canadian Trotting Classic, Canadian Breeders Championship and multiple Ontario Sires Stakes victories.

From 83 starts, Daylon Magician has compiled a record of 33-10-14.
