Lincolnjames Wins Western Fair Debut
Lincolnjames made his Western Fair debut a winning one on Monday evening, November 26 as he prevailed off a perfect pocket trip in the featured $9,000 Preferred 3 Pace.
Thorn In Your Side led the field through fractions of :29, :59.3 and 1:30.1 over a sloppy track before Lincolnjames tipped out of the two-hole and swept to victory in rein to catch-driver Travis Henry. He completed the extended 1-1/16 mile event in 2:08.4 with Colorado Buck coming on to finish second more than two lengths behind, while Thorn In Your Side settled for third prize.
Harry Poulton trains the seven-year-old Northwest gelding for Thestable Lincolnjames.

He now sports a seasonal summary reading 6-7-3 in 35 starts with earnings approaching the $100,000 mark. A 40-time career winner, Lincolnjames has banked $386,746 to date.
In other action, trainer Mike Weller enjoyed a perfect night at The Raceway, going three-for-three on the 10-race card courtesy of pacers Well Did ($8.80), On Cruise Control ($4.50) and Mcdave ($3.10). All three were driven by Robert Shepherd, who ended up with a grand slam after later teaming up with his brother Patrick's trainee Rebel Soldier ($12.70).
