Oh K Man Lifts Late At Flamboro
Oh K Man ($8.60) was a winner straight away off a two-and-a-half-month spell, lunging up the open stretch to reel in Ferrarifever in Wednesday's (Nov. 21) featured $8,400 conditioned pace at Flamboro Downs.
Owner-driver Travis Cullen was patient early from the pole with the four-year-old Western Ideal entire, stalking well behind the clearing Noahs Mill (Jonathan Drury) before Ferrarifever (Bruce Richardson) retook after a :28.1 first quarter. Nearing a rated :58.3 half, Cullen angled Oh K Man second-over behind the steadily-advancing Jimbobwayne (Colin Kelly), who turned up the pressure on the far side.
Jimbobwayne forced Ferrarifever to a :27.4 third quarter, and a gapping Noahs Mill enabled Cullen to duck Oh K Man into the pocket and save some ground on the final turn. The pair emerged up the open stretch to collar Ferrarifever in 1:56.3, while Prologue (Scott Young) emerged belatedly for third over the fading Jimbobwayne.
Jodie Cullen trains 7-time winner Oh K Man, who is also owned by Keith Hannah and Ronald Cullen.
