Well Said To Be Syndicated, Stand At Hanover
Jim Simpson, the president of Hanover Shoe Farms, and Sue Grange and Jeffrey Snyder, the owners of Well Said, have announced that they have reached an agreement
to retire the North America Cup and Meadowlands Pace winner at the conclusion of the 2009 racing season.
Well Said p,2,1:51; 3,1:47.4 is a multiple classics winner that has thus far earned $2,339,022 and is a leading candidate for the 2009 Pacer of the Year both north and south of the border.
He is a son of harness racing’s leading pacing sire, Western Hanover, and out of the outstanding Artsplace mare Must See p,2,1:52 who earned $562,858 in her illustrious racing career.
“We are absolutely thrilled to have Well Said come to Hanover," said Simpson. "We view him as the logical replacement for his sire, Western Hanover, whose death was a great loss to Hanover and to the breed.
"The fact that he (Well Said) is out of an Artsplace mare combines the blood of the most dominant pacing stallions of this generation. We view him as an incredible breeding prospect. He has it all – great performance, an impeccable pedigree and he is a drop dead gorgeous colt.”
According to the release, Well Said will next race in the Little Brown Jug in Delaware, Ohio on September 24.
