It was a three-win night Thursday evening at Rideau Carleton Raceway for trainer Jamie Copley, who continues to pile up impressive stats at the oval.

Copley captured Race 2 with Waltzking Hanover in 1:57, and he tacked on wins with Dawn Shooter (1:57.3) in Race 8 followed by a triumph with P H Hippie (1:57.4) in Race 11.

The hat trick performance allowed Copley to open up some lengths on Yves Tessier for the training title at Rideau Carleton Raceway. Copley’s 60 wins was two better than Tessier’s 58 victories to start the card. Tessier was blanked on Thursday’s 11-race card.

To date, Copley has sent out 1,128 winners while racking up purse earnings in excess of $5.4 million.
