Muscle Diamond launched three-wide in the backstretch and swept past competition to clear the lead before the three-quarters in progress to a 1:52.2 victory in the $21,500 feature at The Downs at Mohegan Sun Pocono on Sunday, Sept. 16.

Tyler Buter kept the son of Muscle Hill off of hotly-contested fractions, launched him midway through the backstretch and had no further problems in the three-length victory. Brett Bittle conditions the winner of $734,449 lifetime and also co-owns along with the Charles Kellers III and IV and also Dan Bittle.

In the $17,500 co-feature the Crazed-gelding Crazshana made the top handily, rated to the half, then sprinted home to be clear of his field at the end of the 1:52.3 mile. The Jeff Bamond Jr.-trained horse, who boosted his earnings to $101,450 this season and $437,849 lifetime, is owned by Bamond Racing LLC and was driven by George Napolitano Jr.
