Freehold NJSS Championship Drawn
The $100,000 New Jersey Sire Stakes Championship final for three-year-old trotting fillies at Freehold Raceway on Thursday, September 10 will feature a competitive field which includes four winners of the series' preliminary legs.
Caviart Annie, a daughter of Revenue S bred by Perretti Farms of Cream Ridge, New Jersey, heads the field with a 1:57.1 victory in one preliminary leg. She has won six of 11 races this year for trainer Greg Peck, who co-owns her with the TLP Stables, Jerry Silva and P.M. Bolte.
In her NJSS preliminary leg victory last week, Caviart Annie got even for a defeat by Susquehanna Belle in a previous preliminary leg. John Wagner, who co-owns the filly with Syl King, Jr. and Terry Kibler, trains Susquehanna Belle, one of three preliminary leg winners with 1:58 clockings.
The other preliminary leg winners with 1:58 victories are So You De Vie and Littlemscantbwrong, both daughters of Yankee Glide. Oyvind Hegdal trains So You De Vie for the Joie De Vie Stable, while Per Henriksen trains Littlemscantbwrong for co-owners John Morritt, Asa Farm and Stan Klemencic.
Also in the field are two second-place finishers of preliminary legs, Lady In The Wind and RS Giggles; third-place finisher Possess Me, and a fourth-place finisher, Grand Cameron.
