Trot Insider has learned that Dave Wall has been named to the Kincardine (Ont.) Sports Wall of Fame.

Wall and six others, including NHL player and Standardbred owner Pat Riggin, will be honoured at the Davidson Centre in Kincardine on Friday (Aug. 17), as reported by The Kincardine Independent.

Wall, a winner of over 7,200 races and $60 million in purses in an illustrious driving career, was inducted into the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame in 2012. Dubbed "Mr. OSS" on account of his long-lasting success in the Ontario Sires Stakes program, his most notable equine teammates on the race track were pacing filly Odies Fame, who banked over $1.4 million, and and 1999 Maple Leaf Trot winner Goodtimes, who earned over $2.2 million in his Hall of Fame career.

The Wall of Fame was established in 2017 at the Davidson Centre and recognizes teams, athletes and builders of all sports and athletics in Kincardine.
