Update On Accident At Killarney

Trot Insider has received an update on the accident Sunday at Killarney that resulted in the fifth race being declared a no contest.

The accident occurred when Mister Gibson, driven by George Isman, fell along with Dragons Paradise, driven by Tyler Grundy. Grundy was launched from his bike clear of oncoming horses while Messinitup, driven by Darryl Mason, could not avoid the pileup and was thrown to the track.

Grundy emerged from the accident unscathed while Mason and Isman were taken by ambulance to hospital. Mason broke five ribs while Isman suffered a head laceration and possibly a head injury.

All horses involved in the accident emerged unscathed.
