Harrah’s Philadelphia Win For Bills Man
Bills Man, who equalled a divisional track record the last time he raced at Harrah’s Philadelphia – though the record only lasted three days – came back to the southeast Pennsylvania oval Thursday afternoon (July 26) and tasted victory yet again.
Bills Man triumphed in the track’s $18,000 trotting feature in 1:53.1.
The four-year-old son of Credit Winner moved first-up from fourth in the second panel and set his aim on the tough leader, Moonshiner Hanover, who had recorded the early fractions (:27.1 :56.2). Bills Man had joined him before the 1:24.3 three-quarters station, and the two were in a virtual ‘match race’ for the majority of the final quarter.
Bills Man ultimately edged clear by a length for driver Corey Callahan, trainer John Butenschoen, and the ownership of Crawford Farms Racing, M And L Of Delaware LLC, and VIP Internet Stable LLC.
