Sunday Is Kid's Day At Dresden
Dresden Raceway is all set for an invasion of children on Sunday afternoon (July 22) for Kid’s Day.
The track will be giving away special prizes for children as well as freezies. There will be a face painter on site and Dresden Raceway will also be hosting special draws for bicycles.
WannaDrive will be at the track allowing guests to experience what it is like to sit behind a Standardbred, giving children and adults an opportunity to sit in the double-seated sulky.
With all the excitement, Dresden Raceway will also be celebrating the lifeblood of the industry, the grooms, with Caretaker Day. Dresden Raceway will honour caretakers for the important job they do day in and day out with the care of the stables.
On the track, GD Cruise For Gold will be looking for his fifth win in a row for owner, trainer and driver Donnie Rankin Jr. The four-year-old Allthatgltrsisgold gelding is the 8-5 favourite in the afternoon's 10th race finale.
Post time on Sunday is 1:30 p.m.
