Future Life Upsets In Pocono Feature
Future Life swept from sixth just past the three-quarter pole, steadily coming on three- and four-wide through the turn and in the stretch to catch Unbeamlieveable by a half-length while taking the $14,000 claiming handicap distaff pacing feature Monday night at The Downs at Mohegan Sun Pocono.
Unbeamlieveable, the 9-5 favourite and winner of four of her last five, was parked well past a hot :26.4 quarter by LKs Nancy Lee, who finally ceded the lead to the chalk, and Unbeamlieveable could get a bit of a rest to the :56.1 half. With Sew Psyched advancing first-over, and Cinder Rita and Future Life right behind her, Unbeamlieveable stepped it up to the three-quarter pole in 1:24.4. Early in the stretch it looked as if the pacesetter might’ve gotten away from her opposition, but Future Life continued her strong rally under Tyler Buter’s guidance to take the decision in 1:53.4 while returning a $35.20 mutuel.
Andrew Adamczyk trains and owns the victorious daughter of Life Sign, who certainly has been able to find the winners circle in her career – this was her 66th lifetime victory, boosting her earnings to $265.040.
Tomorrow two-year-old pacing fillies get the spotlight at Pocono, with four $30,000 divisions of a Pennsylvania All-Stars event for this group.
