Sintra Sweeps To Gold Cup Score
Sintra slid off cover at the top of the stretch and advanced to a 1:48 victory in the $100,000 Mohawk Gold Cup at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Saturday, June 16.
Nirvana Seelster led the field through the quarter in :26.3 with Rodeo Romeo sitting the pocket. With nobody challenging the leader heading to the half, Check Six was flushed first over by Sintra while Nirvana Seelster continued on the front in :54.3.

Nirvana Seelster, passing three-quarters in 1:21.2, quickly lost the lead to Sintra kicking off cover and powering to the top into the stretch. Mcwicked, closing from last at the half, rallied to take second from Jimmy Freight skimming the cones for third.
A five-year-old gelding by Mach Three out of the Rocknroll Hanover mare Dancin Barefoot, Sintra, owned by Brad Gray, Michael Guerriero and Menary Racing Inc., won his first race in three starts this season and his 18th in 41 overall, earning $988,425.
