2nd Annual Meadowlands Wine Fest Nears
On Saturday, June 23, the wine will flow at Meadowlands Racing and Entertainment for the Summer Wine Festival. Doors open for VIP ticket holders at 4:30 p.m. with general admission at 5:30 p.m., and wine is poured until 9:30 p.m. Fest-goers will experience an evening of great wines from around the world, live harness racing, music and food.
Over 30 wineries are participating including ones from Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Argentina, New Jersey, California, South Africa and Oregon. Festival-goers will be sampling sauvignon blanc, chardonnay, Champagne, riesling, pinot grigio, prosecco, rosé, sangria, merlot, cabernet and much more.
New Jersey will be represented by Heritage Vineyards showcasing their rosé blend, red blend and blueberry wine, and Tomasello Winery pouring their cranberry, cherry and blueberry fruit wines. New Jersey’s Alba Vineyards will also be onsite pouring five selections including their Chelsea Dry Rosé, Blueberry, Mainsail White, Estate Chardonnay and Estate Riesling.
Rosé Piscine, a award winning piscine-style French rosé specifically made to drink over ice will also be poured at the festival.
Another exciting producer appearing at the Summer Wine Festival is FitVine. FitVine’s wines go through an extended fermentation process that lowers sugar levels and produces wines under 118 calories per glass. These are wines perfect for those with active, healthy lifestyles.

The Summer Wine Fest will be held in the Backyard and on the East Apron and will open to the public at 4:30 p.m. for VIP admission. VIP tickets are $75 and include an additional hour of sampling, exclusive VIP Tent wine samplings and food. General admission begins at 5:30 p.m. and is available in advance for $35 or at the door for $45. Live harness racing kicks off at 7:15 p.m.
