Supplement To Roses Are Red

Australian pacing mare Firebby A has quickly made a name for herself in North America and her connections have opted to take a shot at the best by supplementing to the upcoming Roses Are Red Stakes.

A six-year-old, Firebby A arrived in North America a few months ago and has since proceeded to win four consecutive starts. The 19-time winner started three times for trainer Tahnee Camilleri at The Meadowlands and Yonkers before being purchased by David Kryway and Ron Adams.

Firebby A debuted for her new connections last Friday at Woodbine Mohawk Park and rallied impressively to win the $30,000 Mares Preferred. The strong debut provided her connections with confidence to pay the $25,000 supplement fee to enter the Roses Are Red Stakes.

The eliminations for the Roses Are Red will take place this Saturday (June 9) with the final scheduled for Pepsi North America Cup night on June 16.

The entry box for the Pepsi North America Cup, Roses Are Red (pacing mares), Fan Hanover (three-year-old pacing fillies), Goodtimes (three-year-old trotters) and Armbro Flight (trotting mares) closes Tuesday morning (June 5) at 10:30 a.m.
