Greg Blanchard's Fantasy Stable
Who would harness racing's sharpest minds select in the 2018 Trot Magazine Fantasy Stable? Trot Insider will feature 'expert picks' in advance of the contest entry deadline.
Director of Racing for The Raceway at Western Fair District, Greg Blanchard has offered his picks for the 2018 Fantasy Stable. Blanchard has tabbed Pedro Hanover as his selection from the star-studded Standardbreds in Group A.
"Pedro Hanover is an exciting colt and one I’ve anxiously been awaiting the return of this year. In this category, I wanted to select a horse who I thought had a large upside to go along with the massive earning potential that the Glamour Boy division offers. Fingers crossed that he has a breakout season!"
Pedro Hanover banked $348,784 as a freshman by virtue of a 5-0-2 summary from eight seasonal starts. His rookie season culminated with O'Brien Award consideration after victories in the PASS Championship, Nassagaweya and his Metro Pace elim. After two swift qualifiers at The Meadowlands, Pedro Hanover makes his sophomore pari-mutuel debut in one of two $84,644 PASS divisions this Saturday (May 5) at The Meadows.
