Standardbred Canada is a non‐profit association and the National Registry for harness racing in Canada. We maintain and manage all pedigree and racing data for Standardbred horses in Canada. We promote and support the industry by offering equine news and services for our members and race fans through a national magazine, website and excellent customer service.
Part‐Time Bilingual Member Services Clerk
There is an immediate opening for a part-time bilingual Member Services Clerk in the Member Services Department of Standardbred Canada.
Responsibilities: (include but are not limited to):
• Maintain Standardbred Canada Resource Centre
• Assisting in pedigree services
• Assisting with stakes administration
• Processing of foal application, membership, transfers and claims
• Respond to telephone and email inquiries
• French services & translation services as needed
• Scan, index and quality control electronic imaging of all documents (horse, member, track)
• Place orders to office suppliers
• Process daily mail (in and out)
• Prepare packaging and labelling for mailing when required
• Cover receptionist duties when required
• Must be able to work collaboratively with other staff members
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Fluent in English and French (Written and oral)
• Knowledge in the industry is a definite must
• Strong customer focus
• Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Self‐motivated, enthusiastic and resourceful
• Ability to work in fast paced environment
• Detail oriented with excellent time management skills
