Dunbar Hall Continues To Win
Three weeks between starts didn’t keep Dunbar Hall from finding his way to victory lane for Team Jamieson in Monday’s top trot for Woodbine Mohawk Park.
Dunbar Hall, who was sent off as the 9-5 favourite in the $25,000 affair, got away fourth while Cue Hall powered to the lead and laid down fractions of :27.4, :56.3 and 1:25.1. Jamieson slipped out around the final turn and caught second over cover, and from there the gelding fired home in :27 to win by a neck over Cue Hall in a career-best clocking of 1:52.4. Muscles For Life tagged along to grab the show dough.
Jody Jamieson mapped out the winning trip with the Stephanie Jamieson trainee who improved his 2018 record to 4-1-0 from six tries with the win. Carl Jamieson and George Harrison own the four-year-old son of Deweycheatumnhowe-Debbie Hall who won for the ninth time in his career. The lion’s share of the loot lifted his lifetime earnings to $168,474.
