Speedshow For Circle The Page
Circle The Page made a huge move in the backstretch in Friday’s featured tilt for distaffers at Woodbine Mohawk Park, and the move proved to be the winning one for the photogenic performer.
Trevor Henry got away fourth with Circle The Page while Exhilarated blasted to the lead and laid down an opening quarter clocked in :27. Circle The Page rushed off the rail in the backstretch and quickly swept to the front for Henry, who went on to carve out the next two fractions in :55.2 and 1:23. The Victor Puddy pupil roared home in :27.2 to win by 4-1/2 lengths in a career-best clocking of 1:50.2. Barockey was second, with race favourite P L Hurricane settling for the show dough.
It was the eighth win of the 2018 campaign from just 14 attempts for the four-year-old daughter of Real Artist-Queen Marie, who is owned by John Sullivan and Michael Marocco. The 12-time winner lifted her lifetime earnings to $145,074.
