The Baltimore Sun has run an unbelievable story of a nine-year-old girl that raised $2,319 selling refreshing drinks at her lemonade stand to save the Baltimore Police Department's mounted unit.

According to the report, Sophia Litrenta served the lemonade and cookies earlier this week after seeing reports that the horse unit might be disbanded if the city can't come up with about $200,000 in private funds.
