The undefeated Campasser, the fastest two-year-old pacer ever on a half-mile track in Western Canada, will make his stakes debut on Saturday in the first of three $16,666 Horizon Pace divisions

.

After putting forth a stunning 1:57.3 victory at Grande Prairie on August 5, which marked his third straight win in just as many starts, Campasser has been assessed as the 1-2 favourite in the morning line.

“This colt just does it way too easy,” said regular pilot Brent Grundy, who will drive his own pupil, Leadfoot Lefty, in the first Horizon Pace division on Saturday. “I chased him a little last time, near the finish, to see how he’d react and he just found another gear. He’s the real deal alright!”

The Camystic--Dream Passer gelding will start from the outside Post 5 with Ron Graham in the bike for owners William and Dianne Neish of High River, Alta.
