Bill Budd-trainee Nirvana Seelster won again in the $34,000 Preferred Pace at Woodbine Racetrack, going wire to wire to take the Saturday, March 10 feature by two lengths in 1:50.4.

The 9-5 second choice, Trevor Henry sent Nirvana Seelster to the lead, where he was uncontested through a :27 opening quarter and a :55.3 half. Still in control under minor first-over pressure from 7-5 favourite American Virgin at three-quarters in 1:23.3, Nirvana Seelster maintained control into the stretch, coasting to the line over pocket-sitter The Rev and Traceur Hanover, who rode a rail trip to take third.

A seven-year-old gelding by Camluck out of the Western Hanover mare No Strikes Against, Nirvana Seelster, owned by Bruce Davy, won his third race in eight starts this season and his 35th in 159 overall, earning $891,834. Driven by Trevor Henry, he paid $5.80 to win.
