Turbo Hill Still Undefeated
Turbo Hill never made a start as a rookie, but the sophomore has come out of the blocks quickly to begin his three-year-old season for trainer Tony O’Sullivan.
The Pepsi North America Cup-nominated Turbo Hill cruised to a facile win versus conditioned company Thursday evening at Woodbine Racetrack, and in doing so he improved his record to two wins in as many tries.
Sylvain Filion wasted no time hustling the son of American Ideal-Taxi Far Hanover to the lead, and together they led the field through sensible splits of :28, :57 and 1:26.1 before rocketing home in :27.4 to win by 1-1/2 lengths over Gerardo in 1:54. Third prize was earned by The Downtown Bus.
Tom Hill of Hamilton, Ont. owns the colt who is a half-brother to the Rock N Roll Heaven mare Ann Hill (1:53.4 - $152,351).
