All Out Henry Has The Answers
All Out Henry ($10.80) took over with ease five-sixteenths of a mile from home and drew clear boldly to take Wednesday evening’s (March 7) featured $8,500 Preferred 3 Trot at The Raceway at Western Fair District.
Scott Young kept the six-year-old Cornaro Dasolo gelding in close attendance to the pace from the pegs as favourite Ionia (Nick Steward) worked clear of Federal Army (Bruce Richardson) on the first turn. Ionia controlled early sectionals of :29.4 and :59.3, but faced a first-over challenge from All Out Henry—who angled out from third with nine-sixteenths to go—on the clubhouse turn.
Midway up the far side, All Out Henry pushed clear of Ionia with ease and drew clear willingly on the final turn. Ultimately, All Out Henry out-trotted his late threats from astern by 3-1/2 lengths while the pacesetting pair weakened. Nebraska Jack (Doug McNair) loosely chased the winner’s cover to take second, narrowly holding off a stand-side bid from Kadabrasnewrecruit (Scott Coulter) to protect the runner-up spot.
The 2:01.3 victory was the 11th career triumph for All Out Henry, who is owned and trained by Pam Forgie.
